Good, Bad, Ugly & Stupid (126)

Good

• A total of 85 prison inmates have been considered for the first batch of parolees under the new parole system.

• A commotion broke out in a temple compound in JB when a group of people claiming to be Maika Holdings investors could not meet Samy Vellu.

• Historic regular flights between China and Taiwan began, in a show of conciliation between the long-time rivals that could bring large members of mainland Chinese visitors to the island.

Bad

• Bursa Malaysia system breakdown and the exchange had to suspend two trading sessions.

• The Government is not ready to implement automatic registration for voters who have reached 21 years old.

• The KL City Hall will continue approving new development projects until the KL City Plan 2020 has been approved and gazetted.

Ugly

• The wife of ISA detainee and Hindraf coordinator says most of her husband’s Hindraf associates have abandoned her and her two daughters.

Stupid

• Mahathir: The Federal Court set aside the conviction against Anwar for sodomy in 2004 but this did not mean he did not commit the offence.

• A group representing Muslim NGOs protested the move to lift restrictions on the size of places of worship for non-Muslims.

• Malaysian Muslim Solidarity Movement: The Malay rights are under threat if Anwar becomes PM
