Good

• Bar Council and KL Legal Aid Centre provided 10 lawyers to the parents whose children participated in Jerit.

• Activists seek to step up the pressure on the government to repeal the draconian ISA with a planned mammoth protest in March.

• The MIC has had three meetings with PNB on increasing the Indian community’s corporate equity to 1.5% by 2010.

• Cross-dressing transsexuals allowed voting for the first time.

Bad, Ugly & Stupid

• Jerit: The police asked details about the children’s schools and their personal background. 

• More than 285 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops.

Bad

• A woman’s photograph and identity were used in a web log containing insults to Prophet Muhammad.

• Prince Edward repeatedly hit at his dog with a stick.

Stupid

• The offence of not wearing seat belts in the rear seats: fines RM2, 000 and one year in jail.

• Protesters in Penang called on Malay rulers to revoke the citizenship of Malaysians who dispute Malay special rights.

• Mohd Ali Rustam suggests a study a RM38 billion bridge to Sumatra.
